I was asked to share my thoughts on why we chose to be supportive of the Lodi Boys & Girls Club. My first experience with the Club was in 1997 when I was asked to serve on the Board. I thought that being a part of an organization that strives to help kids in the community would be something I would be interested in joining. In my first year on the Board, I quickly realized that my perception of what goes on here was completely shallow.

I thought it was just a place where kids congregate after school to play games. I had no idea of the depth of activities that the staff provides for the children of Lodi. Yes, there are games, but also many educational activities along with staff to help the kids with homework assignments.

If you have not had the chance to see what goes on at the Club, I encourage you to stop by and see the incredible things that are happening and all the smiling faces of the kids having a great time.

Even though my time on the Board ended a few years ago, we continue to financially support this wonderful cause of investing in our children of this community.
